I covered these songs with a few changes to the original instrumentation and
arrangements. The guitars, electric and acoustic, and bass, are real instruments,
not samples. Some tracks are recorded through the board, some are miked
amplifiers, depending on the desired result. The keyboard was played on a midi,
with piano or organ soundfonts, and some synthesizers. The drums are mapped
one hit at a time as midi signals, then the midi signals are run through
soundfonts. Soundfonts are actual recorded wave files, triggered by midi signals,
producing as real a sound as possible of the actual instrument. The vocals are all
myself or my wife, Mary. We are not professional singers, but with the aid of
correction programs, I think we do a decent job. The reason for these covers is
to show examples of the "singer - songwriter" packages I would like to offer.
Over the years I have become acquainted with quite a few talented individuals,
or teams, who could write songs lyrics, and sometimes they could accompany
themselves on a guitar or piano, or maybe they had the melody in their heads, but
they needed someone to build the song around their basic structures. Maybe you
have the words to the "greatest country song ever written", but no way to get the
idea into a song format. This is where the singer - songwriter program comes into
effect. The songs I have posted here are not my own, I am not a song writer, but I
did perform all of the instruments, built the arrangements, and recorded and
produced the entire song.
If you have original material you wish to produce in a format that could be
uploaded to your Myspace site, or would like to put them down on a CD to take to
someone for publication consideration, or even just for your own and your
family/friends enjoyment, I believe we could work out an arrangement to suit your
budget, and do it at a quality level that could be played on local "indie" radio
stations, web sites or in a producer's office.
